Kurt
Nelson
Kurt began his legal career with Vinson & Elkins in 1972 following
graduation cum laude from the University of Texas where he was Order
of the Coif and associate editor of the Texas Law Review. Kurt is
Board Certified in Civil Trial Law and is a member of the Texas
Association of Defense Counsel and Defense Research Institute. Although
Kurt has handled and continues to handle cases as small as the simplest
two party slip-and-fall case to cases as large as litigation involving
thousands of parties, his primary area of emphasis over the last
several years has been professional and products liability. In addition
to his own docket, Kurt maintains an active supervisory and administrative
role in the firm, offering younger attorneys the guidance that helps
them grow professionally. He also serves as general counsel for
the Mechanical Contractors Association of Houston advising the association
and its members on litigation, contracts, and legislation. Mr. Nelson
also represented architects and engineers through CNA’s A&E
Group and through other carriers. |
